Among his notable achievements, Tommy scored the hit TV movie A Biltmore Christmas, which earned him his first Hollywood Music In Media Awards nomination for "Best Score - TV/Streamed Movie" and was ranked by Forbes Magazine as the #1 Hallmark movie of all time. He also received an HMMA nomination for his work on Crown Media's first adventure movie, The Christmas Quest. Additionally, Tommy also received a Promax Award for Disney’s Mary Poppins 50th Anniversary Special starring Dick Van Dyke and "Song of the Year" honors for his original compositions "Only God Knows" and "Under The Rainbow." Other career highlights include scoring Crown Media’s first-ever period piece, A Holiday Spectacular, featuring The Rockettes, and Christmas with the Campbells for Wild West Films (produced by Vince Vaughn and Peter Billingsley). His music for the Taylor Swift parody Bad Blood Test went viral on YouTube, amassing over 90 million views.
Hailing from Indiana, Tommy began his musical journey singing and playing guitar in local cover bands. After relocating to Los Angeles and graduating from the Grove School of Music, he fronted several hard rock bands, collaborating with legends such as Slash and Duff McKagan of Guns N’ Roses. He also led Rock Island Orchestra, formerly known as Alcatrazz.
Tommy has scored numerous indie films and over 30 movies for Crown Media/Hallmark, including fan-favorites like A Biltmore Christmas, Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story, Next Stop, Christmas (starring Christopher Lloyd and Lea Thompson of Back to the Future) and One December Night (starring Peter Gallagher and Bruce Campbell). His original songs have been featured in acclaimed TV shows such as Grey’s Anatomy, Rescue Me, and Iliza Shlesinger’s theme song.
Beyond film and television, Tommy’s versatility extends to the commercial world, where he has created music for major brands and networks, including Disney/ABC, A&E, Warner Bros., and SoulPancake. He has also produced and performed in campaigns for Toyota, Purina, Sonic, JCPenney, Target, and Yahoo, seamlessly blending artistry with commercial appeal.
